The Shrubs are a Psychedelic Texas based outfit that doesn’t enjoy the stale, homogenized output that is being fed to us via mainstream entertainment media. Our inspiration comes from the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s, where creativity reigned supreme and the goal was to sound different, not “radio friendly.” To this end, we purposely use equipment that other musicians have discarded and try to use only analog gear whenever possible. Nothing brings us greater joy than creating beautiful sounds out of what others would be embarrassed to be seen with.
